Can cats eat eggs raw. Raw egg whites contain avidin. This all probably sounds a lot worse than it is. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eggs are only safe when cooked and handled properly.
Avidin is a protein in the egg that when raw interrupts the absorption of biotin and complex B vitamins. Well cats can eat cooked eggs but not raw eggs. Most cats will love to eat raw eggs.

The risk of bacteria like this is actually quite low and they would need to eat a lot of egg whites for the avidin thing to become a serious problem. However cooking the egg white significantly reduces the avidin making it safe for cats to consume.
While I personally prefer my eggs over easy feeding raw eggs or raw egg whites to cats carries risks. Even cats who are fed raw diets should not be given raw eggs. If your cat eats raw egg contaminated by this or similar bacteria they can become very ill through food poisoning.
Unfortunately raw eggs are not safe for cats to consume for two reasons. Eggs can be fed to cats but they must be cooked. But cats should not eat raw eggs and for the same reasons really that humans shouldnt eat raw eggs.
Do not feed your raw cat eggs. Coli or salmonella which may cause your cat severe gastrointestinal issues. First things first no raw eggs.
