Black cats give you bad luck. You may remember being told that it is bad luck to have a black cat cross your path. Some people who are superstitious still foolishly believe that if a black cat crosses your path this will bring you bad luck. A black cat is also associated with bad luck and sadly death.
I have been known to throw spilled salt over my shoulder and to avoid opening an umbrella in the house but the only thing my black fur babies brought me is pure.
